On January 16, 2016, at approximately 12:05 am, Tactical Unit officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white charger with three occupants on North Lane.
The officers exited their vehicles and the charger began reversing in an attempt to flee from the officers. The TAC officers approached the vehicle and the driver ignored commands to stop the car and advanced forward nearly striking one of the officers. The officer fired his weapon and the driver fled the scene and crashed into a vacant home on Stoney Brook Lane.
The driver, identified as 17-year-old Trevon A. Lamons, was later apprehended and transported to the hospital.
The officer was not injured during the encounter. The white charger had been stolen out of OCSO Jurisdiction
