Our Blanket and Coat Drive(Thru) was a resounding success! We more than 1,000 donated items from many, many people who stopped by on their way to work on Jan. 12. Many people in need also stopped by and were able to get coats and blankets right then and there.
Thanks to our media partners for getting the word out ahead of and during the event!
This is some body cam video from some of our officers who work the midnight shift in downtown Orlando and know many of the homeless folks who live in the elements there. The officers felt good knowing they could bring some warmth to at least a few people.
